Volkswagen Slovakia in cooperation with our production agency invited its guests for the 19thtimes to the premises of New SND building to bring them back in time to elegant and refined period of the 30s. The swing phenomenon was also reflected in the programme. The concert of famous American Christmas carols in swing atmosphere was featured by well-known Slovak artists - Robo Opatovsky, Monika Bagarova, Marián Čekovský, Mirka Partlová and Vojta Dyk. Their solo performances and duets crowned British star Jamelia. The soloists were accompanied by a 31-member big band which was conducted by Braňo Belorid. The spectacular finale brought together all performers to perform final song when more than 60 performers were on stage. The unique experience was the scene itself creating the illusion of a small square of an American town with a real ice rink, where singers’ performances made a music background for Christmas stories and for the warm encounters of its inhabitants accompanied by impressive dance choreography. The entire program reminded the musical Singing in the Rain, except that there was snow instead of rain.
